2021 Award of Excellence
For Real America, LLC, our (Net-Zero) H38 Apartments was awarded a 2021 Award of Excellence. For JBI, this project was a particularly rewarding experience. The H38 East Apartments were chosen by the Lt. Governor’s office as a Moving Forward 2.0 workforce housing development with a purpose of assisting families. By providing necessary support through life skills coaching, educational and job training programs as well as personal finance, job placement and much more, the H38 East apartments will make a difference in the community. Not only this, but this facility has been constructed as a Net-Zero property. With a focus on the building envelope design, efficiency of mechanical systems, the addition of solar energy along with efficiencies for use of water, gas and electrical result in a 12-month, net-zero for energy consumption. 2021 Merit Awards
We were awarded two (2) Merit awards. Our project for BW Construction’s North Ellipse in the Fishers Nickel Plate District was exceptionally challenging. This structure with added requirements of 6 unique tenant buildouts, all during COVID-19, made for demanding project and crew management to complete electrical, fire alarm and systems requirements. For Delaware County Commissioners, JBI assisted in the transformation of Wilson Middle School along with an additional 48,000 square foot detention pod. Challenged with best use of existing electrical infrastructure while adding only what was necessary to support all electrical, telecommunications, access control, CCTV and HVAC, we were able to deliver for the new 260,000 square foot Delaware County Justice Center.
